Natural Diamonds

Natural diamonds are formed deep within the Earth's mantle under high pressure and temperature over millions to billions of years. They are composed of carbon atoms arranged in a crystal lattice structure. Diamond clarity refers to the presence of internal and external flaws, known as inclusions and blemishes, respectively. The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) grades diamond clarity on a scale:

• Very, Very Slightly Included (VVS1 and VVS2) - Inclusions are extremely difficult to detect under 10x magnification.
• Very Slightly Included (VS1 and VS2) - Inclusions are visible under 10x magnification but considered minor.
• Slightly Included (SI1 and SI2) - Inclusions are noticeable under 10x magnification.
